LeilaReads: Don t let the warnings scare you off

My husband and I had no desire to cough up 100 or more on a matching toddler rail for my son s crib, so when we saw this we were pretty excited. It works splendidly with our flat platform crib no springs, just a flat bottom . Super easy to install a monkey could do it . I ve seen a lot of people get all up in arms about the warning to not use this on a toddler bed, thinking that means they can t use it on a convertible crib. But that s the key. Toddler bed versus convertible crib. The warning is meant for a standalone regular toddler bed. You know, those tiny little beds with the attached rails on both sides. This is meant to be used for a convertible crib, so don t let misinterpreting the warning scare you away from this awesome product. I do recommend that you don t place it as shown in the picture. It ll be to hard for your kiddo to get in or out of the bed. I ve placed ours closer to where his pillow is the head of the bed and it works great, giving him plenty of room to climb in and out of bed. That placement also made the transition from crib to toddler bed a breeze.
