Parawood, also known as Rubberwood, is considered to be environmentally sound as it uses plantation trees that have been felled at the end of their cycle of latex production and new trees are grown. The wood, therefore, is harvested from a renewable source. Parawood s latex production begins when it is about five or six years old and continues until it is about 25 to 30 years. These trees grow to about 75 feet-80 feet high and are extensively used for making furniture. These trees are native to Central America, India and Indonesia.

You can use the same methods to clean your parawood furniture that you use to clean furniture made from any other wood. Once a year, you should wash it with a solution of soap and water, taking care to dry it thoroughly with a clean cloth standing water is the enemy of any furniture finish.

tb54by: Missing two wooden pieces. Hard to assemble when you get stuck on the second step, because the part is missing.

This seemed to be a pretty well made product. I will never know if it was durable or lasting. Two wooden parts were completely missing from the box. Lay everything out, start checking the pieces versus the materials list, check, check, check, oops where are the front and back pieces. Looked in Box. Nope. Tried to call the company and they have an answering machine. It did not matter anyway the answering maching states clearly they will only ship hardware.No wooden pieces. Amazon did great accepting the return. Too bad the company would not ship these two parts. They were not that big and it would have saved me having to put the jigsaw puzzle together fitting all the pieces back in the box.
